eldly in the forest & Beauty in Tranquil Valley

Beauty in Tranquil Valley was designed by Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and completely carved out of red sandstone rocks. In the front of the gate tower is a sculpture of the head of an old man with long whiskers, signifying “the eldly in the forest”; the sculpture of the head of a beauty on the back is based on Master Liu Haisu’s inscription “Beauty in Hollow Valley (or Kong Gu Jia Ren)” for the Great Waterfall. The sculptures of heads are organically integrated with their surrounding Danxia landform, green forests and white waterfall, set each other off beautifully and bring out the best in each other.
