Buddha Light Rock Waterfall
Known as “the best example of Danxia landforms in the world”, the Buddha Light Rock is arc shaped. The arc is 1,117 m long, and the drop height is 385m. The rock formed as early as in the Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods. It looks like a red wordless book from heaven opened in the air coloured red using the blood of dinosaurs right before their extinction.
In the middle of the Buddha Light Rock is a 269meters and 42meters wide waterfall, looking like a little white dragon flying down from red clouds. In the afternoon, when the sun shines on the Buddha Light Rock, the red cliff and the snow-white waterfall will blend into a whole, and a five coloured halo will appear in the white clouds crowning the cliff.
